Third Party Inspection Requests
To file a request to use a third party inspector:
  1. Choose a certified inspector from the Certified Third Party Inspectors* list.
  2. Fill out and submit our online User Request Form or print a copy of the form* and mail or fax to the following:

    Fax: (202) 442-4860
  3. The Third Party Inspection Coordinator will review your request within two days. If it is approved, we will fax you a letter authorizing you to use the Certified Third Party Inspector.
  4. All inspections under this program will be conducted in conformance with the Procedure Manual* and are subject to random checks by DCRA inspectors.
  5. DCRA will complete the inspection by forwarding the Third Party Inspection Certification Form to the Third Party Coordinator.
